Last night the rain stopped and the sun was shining brightly for about an hour. We took advantage of it and spent some much needed time outside in the back yard. My awesome wife seen me basking in the glorious sun and decided to make me a delicious Pina Colada. No sooner did I sit down to drink it when the rain came back in full force. We took a few minutes to run in the rain before heading back into the house, cold and soaked. Brielle & I decided it was a good time to take a hot bubble bath together.
I brought my Pina Colada with me and proceeded to enjoy it while in the tub. Brielle wanted a "sip please mommy" so we had our first conversation about alcohol. It went something like this.
Brielle: Sip please mommy?
Me: No, sorry but this is moms special drink.
Brielle: Pleaaaaaase?
Me: Nope, but when you're 32, we'll share your first Pina Colada. Okay?
Me: Oh wait, by the time you're 32, I'll be 70 and you'll probably be changing my diapers by then.
Brielle: Yucky. Poop!!
Me: ((laughing))
Rhonda: By that time, she'll be injecting it right into your IV.
So nice to have a heart to heart talk about alcohol with my 2 year old.
