5 years ago Rhonda proposed to me in our home in Houston, TX. We had talked about marriage but the day she proposed, I had no idea it was going to happen. I was sitting in the computer/craft room and heard her tell Pyper (our dog) to "give it to Mommy." Pyper loves to deliver things so she came running to me with something in her mouth. Yes, it was the ring box and Rhonda was close behind and asked me to marry her while I opened it. Obviously I said yes.

1 year later, we were married in Saskatoon, SK, surrounded by 200 of our closest family and friends. We had been together for 15 years and next year, we will be celebrating our 5th year of marriage and 20 years together.

I would love for Rhonda & I to renew our vows next year. 20 years together is something to celebrate and having a daughter to share it with is priceless. Brielle has changed our world forever and it would be amazing for her to see our commitment to each other, not just as a couple, but as a family.
When we booked our trip to Houston, I knew this was the perfect time to do something special. Rhonda & I planned a date night while in Galveston, TX, so while enjoying a warm evening watching the ocean, I presented her with this photo book that Brielle & I worked hard on creating.

After she said YES, I pulled out the 3 Infinity necklaces I had purchased just for this occasion. One for Rhonda, one for myself and one for Brielle. The moment ended up being perfect for us and we look forward to sharing another special day with our daughter, as we renew our vows.
We don't know when, where, what or how we'll renew our vows as of yet, but I'm certain whatever we do will be perfect for our little family.
Marriage
If you want something to last forever,
you treat it differently.
You shield it and protect it.
You never abuse it.
You don't expose it to the elements.
You don't make it common or ordinary.
If it ever becomes tarnished,
you lovingly polish it
until it gleams like new.
It becomes special
because you have made it so,
and it grows more beautiful and precious
as time goes by.
