Welcome Rebecca Nicole Dyck & City Select Stroller

On December 20, 2011 at 9:56 pm our newest niece, Rebecca Nicole Dyck, arrived 3 weeks early. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 14 oz and measured 21 inches long. When her daddy, Chris, phoned me from the hospital to share the excitinig news, I could tell she was a healthy, strong little girl from the crying she was doing in the background. We haven't met her yet, but her daddy did share some photos with us. If all goes well, we will get to meet her tomorrow night. Congratulations to proud mommy & daddy, Chris & Nicole and to big brother Jesse. We are so happy for you guys and are honored to have Becca become a part of our loving family.

Just look at those chubby cheeks!!!
This is the stroller we will be getting. It's good for one or two kids, which will work great if I get pregnant or if Rhonda has another after this one. Either way, it's the best option for us, for so many reasons. After reviewing strollers, this one seems to be the one that will work for all ages; newborn up until the age where they don't need a stroller any longer. It's light, super easy to push, has 16 different ways to set it up, is super easy to use and did I mention that it's light!

We're trying to stay away from what we've seen so many others do; buy multiple strollers because they only planned for one kid and needed a new one when they had the second kid, or they have a regular stroller and then a travel stroller and then a jogging stroller, or they have the stroller that comes with the car seat but then it's too big or the wheels suck or back to the fact that it doesn't work when the second kid comes along. We are going to spend a bit more money initially, but in the end we'll be saving because we won't have to buy multiple strollers, simply because we did our research from the start.

Another bonus to this stroller is that you don't need a special brand of car seat to fit on it. Basically any car seat fits! And, if we end up with 2 infants at the same time, it fits 2 car seats without making it a huge unit like other double strollers do.

This stroller can be purchased at Toys R Us but we've found that it's cheaper at Cravings, which is a baby & maternity store here in Saskatoon. As a Christmas gift from someone special, we got a gift certificate for Cravings to put towards the stroller, which is awesome!! Can't wait until baby is here to put this stroller to the test.

If anyone reading this, has this stroller...we'd love to hear your reviews on it!
