Mommies Last Vacation

We can't WAIT to be able to take our baby on vacation...but before that happens, mommies are taking one last vacation alone. We leave for the Mayan Riviera, Mexico on January 15 (in 42 days...but who's counting?) for one week and where we are staying...well, we don't know yet. Yes, it's paid for and we know everything about our flight. What we don't know is our resort. So, here's the scoop on what we did. We went to the Sunquest site and found this neat deal called Roulette. We chose the location we wanted to go to, along with the star rating of resort we would want to stay at. From there, they do the rest. They set up the flight and choose your resort for you out of the list they provide. The cost is MUCH lower than booking these same resorts without this Roulette deal. But the kicker is we won't know which resort from the list until 3 days before we leave. We were sure to go through all of the resorts, research them and were sure we'd love any of them before we booked this deal. We decided it's a win, win situation and read some great reviews from others who have booked this same deal. The resorts are all pretty awesome.

We chose:
RIVIERA MAYA
5 STAR RESORTS

Aventura Spa Palace
Dreams Puerto Aventuras
Dreams Riviera Cancun
Dreams Tulum
El Dorado Royale
Gran Bahia Principe Coba
Gran Bahia Principe Tulum
Grand Palladium Riviera Resort
Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya
Hacienda Tres Rios
Now Jade Riviera Cancun
Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun
Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun
Valentin Imperial Maya

If you'd like to see each resort, just click on the name and it'll take you to some great reviews and photos. I always click on See Travellers Photos instead of See Professional Photos because you get a more realistic idea of what the resort is like from an average vacationers point of view.

Again, Rhonda & I are very excited to be able to travel with our child(ren). I know many people don't consider it a vacation if their kids are along, but for us, we consider it a part of being parents who enjoy seeing and exploring the world with the ones we create. I mean, why would we have them if we didn't want to share experiences with them? Doesn't mean we'll never leave them at home one day and do a trip by ourselves, but for now, we can't imagine not sharing these experiences with our children. They are only children for so long.
